Functions

Cleanliness Division

  1. Monitor solid waste management and public cleansing of concession companies.
  2. Monitor grass cutting, drainage cleansing and general cleanliness of JKR MARRIS Road by appointed contractors.
  3. Manage the cleansing activities of beaches, recreational and other areas.
  4. 3R Practice awareness programs management.
  5. Department’s quality management.
  6. General administration of the department.

Health Division

  1. Management of the activities for the local government (PBT) market facilities.
  2. Management of vector control activities.
  3. Management of infectious disease control activities.
  4. Management of occupational safety and health activity (OSHA).
  5. Manage control activities for diseases, vector and zoonotic.

Environment Division

  1. Management of the activities for the local government (PBT) public toilet facilities.
  2. Inspections, reporting and actions on air quality disruption (air pollution) due to dirt and dust from industrial, commercial business premises, construction sites and housing areas.
  3. Inspections and reporting of public harassment.
  4. Investigate and take actions on complaints related to disturbance to the environment.
  5. Inspections and reporting of water pollution in ducts and public drains involving wastes from business, industrial and commercial activities.
